Our story began in 1968 when Elsworth L. Moody and his wife, Ethel, opened a piano and organ store and music studio in the Nobscott section of Framingham, Massachusetts. Their dream was to share their joy and love of music with the community through the selling of quality, affordable instruments and teaching people to play them. Their business, Moody Piano & Organ, became well-known in the greater Boston area and continued to grow with the help of their four children: Jean, Scott, Glenn, and Roy.

In the late 1970s, Jean Moody-Bushell and her husband, Raymond Bushell, expanded the Moody family business and began their other successful business - Bushell Piano Movers. Jean received her education at the Berkeley College of Music in Boston. Raymond's background is in education and sales, with a bachelor of science from Framingham State University and two master's degrees also from Framingham State University. He took over the daily operations of the piano moving and sales in 1978 and continues to this day.
