At Lafayette Storage & Moving Corporation, we take pride in our rich history, which spans over six decades. Established in 1959 in Buffalo, New York, our family-owned and operated business has always been committed to providing exceptional services to our customers. We started as a local moving company, but as we grew, we recognized the need to expand our services to cater to a larger market. In 1963, we became an agent for Atlas Van Lines, a leading moving company that shared our values of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Over the years, we have undergone significant growth and expansion, both in terms of our services and our physical presence. We expanded our operations to Rochester, New York in 1969, and later, in 1990, we opened Exit 46 Self Storage, a 160-unit self-storage facility adjacent to our warehouse in West Henrietta. Our team has always been dedicated to providing flawless service, earning us numerous awards and recognition within the industry.

As a testament to our commitment to excellence, we have received several awards and recognitions, including the Million Dollar Booking award from Atlas Van Lines in 1985. Our team's expertise, backed by our cutting-edge infrastructure, has enabled us to deliver seamless relocation services to our customers.

Company Milestones

• 1959: Lafayette Storage & Moving Corporation was founded in Buffalo, New York, by Alfonso J. Ferrentino.
• 1963: We became an agent for Atlas Van Lines.
• 1969: We expanded our operations to Rochester, New York.
• 1985: We received our first Million Dollar Booking award from Atlas Van Lines.
• 1985: We expanded our warehouse space by adding a 10,000 square foot facility.
• 1987: We purchased the Van Lines from Wesray corporation, becoming one of the founding stockholding agents.
• 1990: We opened Exit 46 Self Storage, a 160-unit self-storage facility.
• 1993: Our President and CEO, A.J. Ferrentino, was voted to serve on the Atlas Van Lines World Group Board of Directors.
• 1997: We successfully completed one of our largest commercial moves, relocating the Blue Cross company into its new $35 million facility.
