Out-Back Storage began its journey in 2004 with a humble rental fleet of storage containers, providing a practical and convenient solution for individuals and businesses in Westerly, Rhode Island. Driven by the burgeoning growth in real estate, construction, and the overall economy, the company experienced rapid expansion in the following years, solidifying its position as a leading provider of portable storage in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

Our commitment to customer satisfaction and the demand for our services fueled our strategic acquisition in 2007 of a competitor's container inventory and delivery truck in Connecticut. This strategic move significantly expanded our reach and offerings in the Connecticut market. Recognizing the need for a dedicated space to manage our growing inventory and operations, we purchased a facility in 2009. This new location provided a substantial office space, ample paved ground to store containers, and convenient access to major highways, streamlining our operations and enhancing our ability to serve customers promptly.

In 2010, we identified a unique opportunity in the market: the potential to modify shipping containers to meet specific customer needs. We began offering a range of customization options, including the installation of windows, doors, lock boxes, and vents, transforming standard shipping containers into functional and versatile spaces. As our customer base continued to grow and our service offerings expanded,

we found ourselves outgrowing our existing facility by 2014. Seeking to accommodate our expanding operations and improve our efficiency, we purchased a larger facility. This new location retained the strategic advantage of easy highway access but boasted a significantly larger 10,000 square foot building specifically designed for container refurbishment, modification, and repair. We also acquired over six acres of dedicated space to store our extensive inventory of containers.
